I am pleased to inform you that Ice Cream Canton 2007 will be held at Guangzhou International Convention & Exhibition Centre during the period of May 12-14, 2007.

The CMMS (China Marketing and Media Study’s) data for 2003 shows that China has a large group of ice cream consumers. More than 73 per cent of Chinese ate ice cream last year. At present, the per capita consumption is 2 litres a year, and the figure is expected to grow to 6 litres in 20 years, according to Liu Fan, a CMMS researcher. Foreign ice cream producers are expected to face stiffer competition in the large Chinese market. Foreign ice cream companies, including world famous ones such as the Wall's of Britain and Nestle of Switzerland, have introduced new products to China, with total annual production exceeding 1 million liters last year.

Guangdong Province, the main area of southern ice cream production, has only three dairy farms. However, China consumes 1.4 million tons of ice cream annually with one-fourth sold in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangdong Province. With the center of Guangdong, Guangdong is not only the cradle of Chinese ice cream but also the top of ice cream consumption. Foreign ice cream companies, including world famous ones such as the Wall's from Britain, Nestle from Switzerland and Hagen Dazs from USA have introduced new products to China.

The Ice Cream China 2006 has been achieved a great success on May 12-14, 2006, in Guangzhou International Exhibition Center,. And many world-famous exhibitors have participated in it, such as New Zealand Nature, Italy PREGEL and so on. The date of Ice Cream China 2007 will be the same as Interbake China 2007, which is the largest and most influential bakery exhibition in China .More than 650 exhibitors from over 70 countries and about 60,000 purchasers are expected to be present. You can also take a chance to have a look at bakery exhibition, to open the eyes for the bakery development. Coffee Festival China 2007 will be also held at the same time. That will be a real western food Carnival for China, which is the most dynamic market in the world.
