The Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center is located at Pazhou Island, the new secondary city center in southeast part of Guangzhou. To the east are Keyun Road and the Pazhou Tower Park under plan. To the west are the Sports and Health Park under plan and South-China Expressway. To the south are the city expressway Xingang Road East and large ecological fruits garden. To the north are the Riverside Road Around the Island and Pearl River. According to the government planning, the Pazhou Island will become a brand new international exhibition city, and the Guangzhou Convention and Exhibition Center will be the brightest spot in this Island.

Terminal Walk Path

In the east of the main building and vertical to the Pearl River is the Terminal Walk Path. It provides stopping place for large number of vehicles arriving at the exhibition center.

The center of the main building is the Pearl Promenade that serves as the main passage to the exhibition sites. Beneath the Pearl Promenade is the truck path; the mezzanines (2-4 floors) on each side are equipped with supplementary facilities.
